how do I resize pics for Optimus?

So I resized pics to 320w X 480h on my computer. Transferred to the SD card. But when I want to select them as a wallpaper, it only zooms in on a portion. I can select where to zoom but I want the whole pic! Tried using Wallaby (free version) also but can't seem to get it right.

    help!

that can't be right. You end up getting weird crops or squished aspect ratios.

OK, how about recommend me a good program to handle wallpapers/pics

    OR

step by step instructions on how to use a 320x480 picture

When I go into gallery and just select the picture, it displays it properly. I'm having trouble getting the correct view (no cropping) as a wallpaper

It's because the wallpaper will move as you change pages. You won't get any squished aspect ratios, but you'll see a different section of the background depending on what page you're on.

Yep...it's weird at first...but because the image slides behind the screens, the native aspect ratio for wallpaper is 640 wide by 480 high. You can get the free MulitPicture iLive Wallpaper app that will allow you to use a portrait/vertical image as wallpaper, or a set of of images, if desired.

People were telling you to make the wallpapers 640x480 for a reason, you know. The tiniest bit of research on how Android wallpapers work would have shown you this (or even just observing how the built-in wallpapers work, and the fact that they all have a 4x3 aspect ratio as well).

I size most of my pix to 960 x 640 so I have at least a 2X zoom option. If you zoom on a 480 x 320 you'll loose resolution. I use Multipicture app to put whatever size I want on the screen - you can crop to anything you want, tell it to post the picture 1:1 or fit to screen or partial zoom. See the nearby screen shot thread for a few samples.

How do you download those pictures? Everyone one of them says "owned by" and wont let me download them

[edit] I figured it out, you have to right click the image and hit "Medium 640" then it allows you to download it.
