Should I change Battery Or Phone?

The battery of my Samsung mobile phone is dead. Now the question is should I get a new one or get a new phone instead. My friend told me that even If I get the Battery replaced from Samsung Care Centre still it won't be as good as the one which comes initially with the phone.
My phone is not that costly but I can still save a few bucks if I am able to replace a battery.

So new phone or new batter. Please do share your experience with replacement batteries. Are they of any use or not.

Well I had this phone. And I got to tell ya even if you change the battery you will have the same problem. I noticed when I had this phone the battery would die after 4-5 hours and was on only standby. But when in use died after 30-45 minutes. I went and exchanged it for a bb torch and this phones battery lasts a week without a charge.

I have had this phone for a month now, and I can go 2 days without charging it, with moderate usage. Ive never had a replacement battery, so im not for sure how good they are, but if you get one from samsung, I cant see it being bad.
