    Venue Pro on Rogers

Older news but I don't see a post in the Venue Pro section.
It is likely that the Venue Pro will come to Rogers Wireless in March.

    Any news?

All the rumours online mention that the Venue Pro was going to come out on March 17, but still no word from Rogers. Has anyone heard any updates?

I wish I had heard something.
Maybe it was delayed if the rumours were correct.

AT&T version dropped, available thru Dell in US. Maybe same for Rogers?

I wanted the DVP (sweet looking phone), but wound up with a Nokia N8 ... maybe in June, when I have an upgrade ... when we find out if it really works !!

Since there is an AT&T one out now, I was going to buy one and hopefully unlock it but I have since decided against it and sit with other phones.

An American Dell rep brought one in the other day - I find it quite heavy but good quality - the screen on my Focus is way better...

    Definitely business class...

So i bought the 8gig DVP and put it on the Mobilicity network. To be absolutely honest my issues with this phone are 1 minor and 1 major. the first that is minor is the camera phone being unstable and bluring on the slightest movement.

My biggest issue with this phone, I am a geek by trade so i'm always modifying the phone, have done that with everything else i've owned. But to do that i need access to the file structure and i have not been able to find more than a read-only version of the "file structure" so everything as minor as adding my own ring tones is almost impossible.

As to the DVP itself and the way it works, i have never have any issues with the wifi, never have any issues with the phone freezing. This phone has been pretty good and for a dell at all, that's impressive.
Remember Scr@ew Telus over has hard as you can, otherwise they'll scr@ew you!
$100 per month for 3 gigs of data is highway robbery!
I use my TP2 as an untraceable tether.
Last month was 87gigs on my TP2 and So far this month is 26 gigs.

In regards to the camera, there is a setting that is disabled by default. It is a stupid choice. Anti-Shake it is called, you have to turn it on every time as it will not remember it. Check to see if that is what it is.
Yeah, that is Windows Phone, hopefully when Mango is out, there will be official homebrew support. But it isn't that bad, I am developer unlocked so I have access to a registry editor, majority of the filesystem, ability to install homebrew applications etc.
