Do you have a P+ plan already? The activation call requires data.

Hi,
I just bought a new Palm Pixi Plus on eBay. I called custom service of Page Plus to change my ESN. She did it and let me dial *22890 to finish the programming process. But for a new Palm Pixi Plus, I do not have access to the dial pad. When it powers up, it will automatically do activation on Verizon's network. So what should I do now?
Thanks so much!!
Updated: I use "call emergency number" and deleted 911 and input *22890 and then called it. But the activation is still unsuccessful. The activation system over air told me "activation failed". So what should I do now?
Newest and Final Updated: I called the custom service again to verify the Hex I provided. There was a mistake in when I firstly provide the HEX. Now the representative helped me fix it. My cellphone now activated successfully.
Thanks!!

Thanks for your advice. I have a data plan. The mistake I made is that I provided the inaccurate HEX.
So you're up and running? How do you like your little pixi?
Yes, it works great now! I can use App store, google map and other apps except Hotspot. The phone is sluggish a little bit, and freezes sometimes especially when you access to emails and musics. But generally, it is fine.
PS: if you are a business person, I would recommend you to use Windows Mobile 6.5 or Palm OS based phones.
I just got my activated it is a fun little phone. It was genius selling these for cheap. Vzw didn't lose all of the money. They are being used on their towers so the are making money and hp/palm will I am sure will make money with apps and free publicity. It is giving people a smart phone that might not have otherwise gotten a smart phone. And it is my only qwerty that I can text 1 handed with. Definitely worth my fifty bucks. ( I wouldn't pay the 599 msrp) but a cool little gadget.
Does anyone know how many megahertz the processor is?

Hey, I also bought the palm pixi off of Amazon for fifty bucks. In the description it said it was a no contract phone, but when i start it up it prompts "click here to call Verizon to automatically activate your phone". Can i still use page plus service from a different phone service other than the big companies? (for example, Global Wireless is monthly, paying for verizon minutes, but making their own frequencies available to customers for a cheaper price). Am i still able to use my phone through someone other than strictly Verizon?? Please let me know and email if necessary, any help is much appreciated... ()

You can activate a Palm Pixi Plus on Page Plus. I bought mine from Amazon and activated it on Page Plus with no problem. Page Plus uses Verizon's network, they just resell the time for less and with no contract, so when the Pixi Plus "phones home" to Verizon, it is OK, and will still activate on Page Plus, if you have set up service with Page Plus.

Do a little forum or web searching and you'll find step by step instructions.
