Finally got my 814T soft-unlocked (paid 4x what I paid for the phone, but what could I do about that?). Now I'm mostly happy except for two things.
There's a dictionary function listed in the Tools menu. I'd like to use it because I have a Japanese class this semester. Problem is, it won't start. "There is no dictionary file in the memory card". Which there isn't, because I bought it used without a memory card. Or the CD which is apparently supposed to contain the dictionary files. Any alternative sources for the dictionary files?
And I grabbed the USB drivers off the Softbank site. They won't work. I plug in the phoneafter installing the drivers and the computer (laptop running Windows 7; the laptop's a Toshiba too) doesn't recognize it. I point it at the folder that the drivers got installed to and it STILL won't work. I wanted to use it as a USB modem and to be able to charge it by USB (the second I can do by switching to memory card reader mode, but that disables incoming calls/texts). Any help?

Hey, that's the dictionary problem fixed, thanks! I wonder if the 814T-specific version would have more words, but no use wondering if I can't find it to compare. Besides, it's a basic-level course so this will do.
Update for future reference- Turns out that my laptop's running Windows 7 64-bit. Which means that it won't work with the 32-bit drivers provided on the Softbank site. Toshiba apparently seems unmotivated to produce 64-bit drivers for this model so looks like I'm stuck on that front.
installed a second partition of windows 7 using 32 bit?
