The atrix will be horrible for rading text. It's a pentile screen.

Also I hope you're all aware that HSUPA is disabled, enjoy your 400kbps uploads.

Actually my Atrix compares very well with my iPhone-4 with regards to text. Pentile is well implemented here.

Yes, the cap is common news: All over XDA and Android Forums. Cheers.

You can't "well implement" pentile matrix. You either use or don't use it. The fact is text is going to be noticeably blurrier than if it used an RGB layout. If we define a pixel as having three sub-pixels then the 4-inch PenTile RGBW Motorola Atrix 4G would result in a pixel format of just 640×360

I would never change any one of my 3 desire z for an atrix ,, even if it's a dual core...

The real thrill of it, it's having the laptop dock wich is way to expensive at 329$

you can have a netbook for that price with an atom 550 2 gig ram and 320 hd

Also the 129$ for the media dock with hdmi not worth it ether,, why just not put a mini hdmi port on the handset?

So this atrix is not offering me someting more valuable than my Desire Z.

    :-)

Umm .. I don't think you fully understand what I said. I'm sitting here with both my Atrix and iPhone-4 and text looks quite the same to me at magnification. Cheers.

Well then you're eyesight isn't exactly amazing as the density difference as well as the pixel arrangement will affect the way text looks. Just because they look the same to you doesn't mean it's that way for everyone else so I fail to see why you keep pushing that argument.

Totally agree. Reading text on the Atrix is as comfortable as my iPhone 4. It's just that the Atrix screen seems a little "grainy" than my iPhone 4 or Galaxy S

I believe this phone is way overhyped. The hardwarre specs are incredible but I wud love to know how with all this power the phone functions.
I saw this phone with its laptop dock, and it lags quite a bit, and the phone's OS which is Android is also not smooth. This is mainly because of Motorola not Android. I wud love to hear from the people who own this beast.
With all the added cost of the accessories, this phone is quite expensive.
    Please do share ur experience,
    Thanks

Galaxy S2 does look pretty sweet. However I'm not really in the game of $600 phones every year lol. Maybe 1.5-2 years, we'll see what's out then.

Part of me hopes that Atrix users get their HSUPA sorted, the rest of me would rather they leave that bandwidth for my SGS.

My Atrix doesn't lag at all. In fact, this is the first phone that I've owned on which I can throw in any # of active widgets and push services and not worry about lag.

Again another blanket statement. I suppose you also think that the iphone 4 is truly at the boundary of individual pixel perception because you can't see pixels.

I went to the bell store stand at Canada Computers today. The difference was clear to me. Pentile caused grainy and noticeably dotty text.
