what if I drop AT&T after 31 days?

I do not like the phone that AT&T gave me as an equivelant to my Alltel phone but I couldn't upgrade to a phone I wanted without switching to an AT&T 2 year plan. I am not ready to commit to a plan until I see what kind of signal I receive in my area.

Does anyone know what will happen if I decide to go with a different carrier after the first 30 days of AT&T activation? Will I be able to drop AT&T without an ETF? My Alltel contract is over so will that transfer to AT&T as well? Would I have to return the phones?

After 31 days, the phone is yours to keep no new contract no ETF. As long as you're using Alltel now (not roaming) you should get signal as good as or better than Alltel's CDMA.
