    ATRIX: Worst Call Quality Ever

bought a new atrix from At&T ( never been used before )

The other line all they heard was mumbling and a weak voice.

I have owned 10 motorola all were good in call quality except this one.

I exchanged it for a Inspire. Though I would have liked to own one, if

I get the same problem I 'd be losing a lot of time & calls.

Any one else getting this ?

Excellent call quality on the Rogers network with an unlocked AT&T Atrix.

So did you exchange it for a second unit or did you just give up with the first one? I've heard great reports on call quality with the Atrix so you likely got a dud?

Me too had issues with call quality on Atrix. I have exchanged it with Inspire & I am very happy with Inspire!

Maybe it's the radio. Don't they both use a Qualcomm chipset?

ATRIX: Worst Call Quality Ever .... maybe Motorola did not check call quality?

I will not buy the Atrix because any phone sold today should have Gingerbread and I would not trust Motorola's promise on any upgraded.

Is that why we're STILL waiting for a shipping device with Gingerbread (with the exception of the Nexus S)? Are you serious?

    Gorgonesh,

I know the Atrix is coming out in Canada with Bell, and I am currently with Rogers and was planning on buying the Bell version out right to use with Rogers. I just found out that I will not be able to get it out right and will need to activate it and pay at least 1 month's worth of use on Bell so I've started thinking about getting the AT & T version. Any thoughts on the matter and if you'd recommend I go with the AT & T Route?

Sounds great on my end and I haven't had any complaints from the other side. The call quality is way better than the bb 9700 I was using.

You could have just gotten a bad example and could have exchanged it with another Atrix. But an Inspire is a great thing to own as well.
