So the Moto Defy is a T-Mobile phone, does this mean it can be used on Simple Mobile without unlocking? Anyways, the Defy isnt on their list of approved phones but im curious if the Defy would still work. They do say this about 3g data...
"For 3G, make sure your phone supports the 1700Mhz band"
and the Defy specs list this...
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900
UMTS: 900, 1700/2100, 2100
So im assuming this is a go for 3g on Simple Mobile? What about HSDPA?
HSDPA:Yes (HSDPA 7.2 Mbit/s)
HSUPA 2.0 Mbit/s
Id like to see more detailed coverage but all it lets me do is input my zip code (92509) and says im covered. How good? Same as T-Mobile (doubtful i guess)? The map zooms in but not nearly enough. What happens when i leave Simple Mobile's service area? Roaming or no service? Thanks for any responses, guys.
also, is there a better option for prepaid GSM (like better coverage, etc)? 3g data is a must.
HTC One S. Yeah Buddy!
The Motorola DEFY will work on T-Mobile/Simple Mobile. It's a T-Mobile branded phone in the states so it will work on T-Mobile 3G granted it is the T-Mobile version. You get no roaming with Simple Mobile. There is 3G coverage for most of that area but you will probably have to determine yourself how good or bad it is.
