To each his own I guess.
Of course that assumes that the issues with LTE are publicly known (it is always more than complicated than people say on blogs).
Oh, and that a new SOC was bought in. What if it was already being worked on prior to the whole Etna fiasco?

It isn't like the phone is coming out tomorrow, I suggest having a little more patience.

He never gives wrong info because he's cryptic and vague. I've never seen bmx give solid info

I will agree. This latest tweet is something I could have tweeted. Its all the obvious. Different SoC? We knew that already through deductive reasoning when the story first broke. I mean no disrespect to him but it feels like he's fishing trying to get wnrussell to blink and hint at the specs. I don't think he actually has one on hand. Maybe he does but something is fishy about it all. In my opinion atleast.

What if the LTE/Dual-core processor issue(s) was BECAUSE of the Tegra. That would make it extra good that they're switching to a TI chip. I think all the previous Moto Droids used TI processors (not sure about the original Droid), other than the Droid X2, so it wouldn't be surprising if they stuck with TI for their next big phone.

I trust Winston long before bmx. Past being patient, but waiting anyway; as what else could I be waiting for?

Og Droid was ti. From what I understand the tegra 2 isn't nearly as good as the dual core omap

I'm just tired of waiting. Considering the v2 LTE chipsets will be out soon, but not in devices until well after unlimited data is gone, its not like the Bionic is gonna be the best LTE phone for that long anyway. And if it still has a locked bootloader like the X, I don't want it. Not to mention that the lackluster performance of the new X2 has me worried anyway.

So I'm really starting to lose enthusiasm for the Bionic. Basically, I'm waiting for specs of the Bionic or more hints at a release date, that will convince me I can go ahead and buy a Charge without regrets.

Well, I got what I wanted. BMX just told me he heard its the third week in August, and he doesn't see it coming before August anyway. So if wnrussell, Winston, and BMX are all in agreement it won't be till August, I'm satisfied. Unlimited will almost certainly be gone before then, so Charge it is!

Quite a relief to quit thinking about the Bionic, to be honest.

After the report from wnrussell that the original Bionic (Etna) was being cancelled, BMX said no way in hell that was happening and it was still on schedule to meet it's original release date. I think I'd call that giving wrong info. That's just me though.

An odd benchmark, but, if this is legit, a qHD resolution and for sure an OMAP processor.

I actually believe that the "new chip" referred to by black_man_x maybe the next gen LTE modem chip from VIA.
That would make sense given any other chipset hardware would have already appeared on a released handset, once the dual core OMAP debuts on D3.
