That image means absolutely nothing. It was just a snapshot of what phones Costco was offering at the time and what phones that planned on offering that had been officially announced as being in development. Nothing more, nothing less.

Instead of whining about the delays of the Bionic because you're phone is about to kick the bucket, just go pick up a relatively inexpensive used phone off contract and use it until the Bionic or something else comes along. If the phone is in decent condition, you'll be able to make back almost everything what you paid for it when you resell it. That's how most smartphone junkies get their continual fix of newer and different phones. I know that's how I roll. I might get $20-$50 less for a phone than I paid when I resell it, but that $20-$50 is totally worth having a better/different phone for awhile until something else that I want comes along.

I get what you're saying and it all makes sense, I just am not in a position to be playing around with money. If I make a purchase, I need it to be a well thought out informed decision. Thanks for the input guys. And sorry for being a downer

It is not unusual for venting to occur, since that and waiting is what we have to do. Can xbernaut, Winston and Russell comment on the Phonearena article claiming all dual cores have power problems?

Would you be able to provide a link to the article? I tried searching and did not find it. I would like to give it a read.

    Edit found it: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Almos...-issue_id19060

The article misrepresents what was said. The actual Tweet, where they're getting their information from, says:

"Google have issue with Android 2.3.2 - battery consumption is high for dualcore CPU. Issue will be solved in 2.3.4. Affected all 2xcore"

Notice that he says there are issues with Android 2.3.2. This would imply that he's talking about dual core devices on 2.3.2. A lot of dual core devices out there right now are still on a version of Froyo. As far as implications for the Bionic, who knows what version it will launch with.

And I'm not familiar with this Russian tech blogger at all, so I can't say how accurate or inaccurate his information would be.

Thanks for the clarification. What does that mean for dual cores running 2.2.x?

    Those should be unaffected.

They must be okay since they only mention 2.3.2.

Listen, the thread below contains a link to an article that clearly states that the Bionic is coming next month. The article is obviously from a reputable insider, so it must be true. See below...

I'm willing to wait IF its a worthy product. Ill wait another 6 months if it results in a great product. This does not negate the fact that Motorola should be at least giving us something. Not even a full spec sheet, just a rough idea, maybe a few specs

Nope. I don't use my phone as a modem, and I have a hotspot for that. 5gb, or even 3gb a month is plenty for me as far as I'm concerned.

There will be hardware leaks if that was the case. We haven't seen pics of the new hardware, so it's not coming out next month. Sorry.

The only thing Verizon and Mototola owes you is properly working equipment. Period. Nothing else. Posts like these really rub me the wrong way. You don't want to wait and risk paying for tiered data buy a darn phone right now. Moto isn't holding a gun to your head. Things have changed and they have let you know it will be released in the Summer. Don't like it then move on but please stop pounding your fist like a 5 year old because you feel they owe you something.
They may techniquely not owe us anything, but remember this game is all based on the customer. If your selling products to people full of nerd rage (like myself) than you better start adjusting your business plan to accommodate that.
