Why would it kill it for you? You don't have to use it if you don't want to. Really has no effect on the actual phone itself.

It uses up too many resources. Half the RAM is allocated to running it. Its another OS running alongside Android. Its bloatware in my honest opinion. Very disappointing.

Android can run with 512 MB. No big deal. It would be better if the OS was really chrome OS or something, but that's a project that Google should look into doing. And the Webtop UI wont run in the background unless you want it to.

I hope so so that phone is really slick looking and it does share some semblance. Maybe the one we were looking at is the droid 4 :P

WebTop runs in the background even when undocked. Check out motodev they explain it really nicely

Anyway from that design, all I could ask for is a good camera sensor (Something that is equal to or better than the quality of the Nokia N8), Xenon flash (I doubt that Moto would put one on), and a physical camera button like the Droid/2/X has. Also, being able to have different colors on the back faceplate like what HTC did with the orginial Incredible would be really a nice touch too. The specs , if they are correct, would make me as happy as a clam.
