connecting to vpn with blackberry os 6

    Hi,

Has anyone accomplished this? I have 2 vpn's set up at home, one is pptp (on my ddwrt router) and one is ipsec (on my netscreen 5gt)

as far as i know, the blackberry os6 doesn't support pptp vpn's but does support ipsec vpn's.

according to documentation i've read, the only way to connect to an ipsec vpn is if you have BES which i don't have at home.

    any ideas?

i'm open to quick and dirty solutions also

    thanks in advance!

Before logging into a virtual private network (VPN) on a BlackBerry® smartphone, a profile must be configured using the following steps:

Setting up a VPN profile on the BlackBerry Torch smartphone

From the Home screen, click Options (the wrench icon).
Click Security > Advanced Security Settings > VPN.
Open the menu > click New.
Select Vendor Type from the list.
Create a name for the profile created and specify VPN credentials. (Contact the system administrator for more information on VPN credentials.)
Open the menu > click Save.
Logging in using a previously configured VPN profile

From the Home screen, click Options (the wrench icon).
Click Security > Advanced Security Settings > VPN.
    Select a configured profile.
    Click Log in.

PS: I have not tried this myself. Nor have the need to as its just as simple and effective on my iPhone 4 with a better screen resolution.

I found perfect solution with SuperVPN for my blackberry playbook. They helped me to set up VPN and now all my traffic in encrypted and my real IP address is hidden. I can surf anonymously from my playbook.
