Yeah, it takes the number of carriers in my market (RSA 344) from 5 (AT&T,VZ,T-Mo,USCC,Metro PCS) down to 4, though we won't lose any coverage, in fact, AT&T users will now have the advantage of both networks. T-Mobile already roams in market onto AT&T here in bad spots, a benefit of being a former Edge Wireless market So now, minus T-Mobile it'll be-

    1.Verizon
    2.U.S. Cellular
    3.AT&T
    4.Metro PCS

Wow. Whoever said AT&T was going to buy T-Mobile in the Sprint/T-Mo thread was correct. I was dead wrong in assuming it would never happen.

    Verizon's 3G network. ............................................ AT&T's 3G network.

    Verizon's 4G network.

I have to say I didn't see this coming. I really thought there was going to be a merger with Sprint. I wonder if the government would allow this bing there would be only one true GSM carrier (it will all be LTE soon anyway so the point may ne moot)

I'm not crazy about it but from compatibility it's a good match. 2G is completely compatible. AWS is not.

This is just crazy, Im a little shocked. I cant wait to see the final outcome between the mergers. I personally think it would of been a bad idea if Sprint/Tmobile merged. Sprint has way to many issues they need to fix before they try to purchase another company.
