    Yep.

Basically the X10 saga goes like this: X10 launched with 1.6, promised upgrade to 2.1, 2.1 upgrade delayed several months, 2.1 released, 2.2 promised, 2.2 delayed, 2.2 cancelled, 2.3 promised.

Wow. I hope the arc's updates don't go like that (although Sony is going to unlock the bootloaders on some phones so ROM cooking is finally a possibility ).

They should, unlocking the bootloader means unlocking a lot of usually unpaid developers.

Best of all, provides a better experience for the end-user.

Yes, it has DLNA. I already have my Arc (not Arco lol!). It is the best device from SE in a long time, probably since the days of W900.

However, it is not a phone that has 2011 hardware. It is still what X10 could have been. And its camera could have been better. They could have used their new 16.4 MP sensor with 1080P or at least the other one with 8 MP and 1080P. Well, at least its camera is better than the other Android phones because the other manufacturers are not even trying. I can say I am slightly satisfied.

And those slim touchscreen phones (and American/Korean/Western phones in general) are stupid. You can't even hold them properly. This is one of the reasons why flip phones are much better.

They have a blue cover in Japan. I am mad and envious I wanted a sliver Arc but they one brought the other colour "midnight blue" or whatever they call it. It is a nice colour though and fingerprints proneness is my only complaint. I paid slightly over $600 for it. It is not bad for a country where phones are madly overpriced.

I haven't purchased a new phone in over 2 years. And this one shouldn't stay that long with me. Yes, I want a phone with a much better camera and it must be waterproof; if they are planning to release any waterproof phones in the first place.

Edit: speaking of which, I just found this hilarious ad.

Why don't you make a waterproof phone then?

Yeah, I thought that was pretty stupid. I was a bit excited when the girl was about to put the phone in the tank i was like 'wow, a waterproof smartphone from Samsung!'.

What a retarded ad. Americans are going to sue the hell out of them due to false advertising or something (since Americans sue everyone... stereotypes ftw lol).

Definitely 2010 hardware. No dual core, no 1080p, no 768MB+ RAM. Sort of disappointing but works well (more than I can say for the Optimus 2X- lagfest!)

    Ahah yeah.

If you're all about raw benchmarks the 2x will pwn the arc any day.

The main problem with the Optimus 2x is the horrible skin they put over Android. Remove that skin and you get a blazing fast Android smartphone (look at the TMO G2x- same phone as the Optimus but with stock android- night and day I tell you).

Okay, quick update: sold my arc days after unlocking the bootloader and rooting it. Got an irresistible offer from my rich/lazy friend who can't be bothered to tinker with this stuff (got 20 bucks more than what I paid for the phone, LOL).

So... anyone can get me a cheap unlocked SO-01C?
