Installed the Network Info II app and it says my operator is Rogers. It's picking up MCC-302 and MNC-720. If someone with working data on an android could tell me what it says for them, that would go a long way towards figuring out the problem.

Good to know that there's hope. Do you remember if the MCC and MNC codes were defaulted to 302 and 660 or did you have to enter them manually?

Here are my settings:
Name: MTS
APN: sp.mts
MMSC: http://mmsc2.mts.net
MMS Proxy: 209.4.229.90
MMS Port: 9401
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 302
MNC: 660
I did not have to set the MCC and MNC codes, they were already correct from the SIM card.
Network Info II:
Phone Type: GSM
Operator: 3G MTS
Country: ca
MCC+MNC: 302720
Are you running android 2.2?
2.2.1
Android Revolution HD 3.3
I guess my next step is to find someone with a working android setup and beg/borrow/steal their sim card to try on my phone. Any takers?
did you give your imei # to mts during the activation? that way you would get the settings OTA

I'm pretty sure the CSR took the imei#. I should probably get him to double check it just in case he entered it wrong.
Just got back from MTS (South Pembina). My Motorola Atrix running strong, data and everything. No issues relating to the MCC and MNC numbers at all, as previously reported.
wazoo... if you look at Network Info II, does it come up as Rogers or MTS? i'm really starting to think that something is wrong on the MTS side.
i am having the same problems with the motorola atrix, its unlocked i am able to use voice & sms but no data, will not save my APN files to the phone, any suggestions??
so far of the 4 atrix i've heard about, 3 don't get data and one does. could it have something to do with the original provider? mine's from the bell network.
