Preorder Incredible 2

Does anyone have any insight/opinion that the "stocking" levels of the Incredible 2 will be affected by the events in Japan? And does Verizon offer preordering on any phone that is slated to be offered in the near future? Or is that only for new release phones?

I am really looking forward to this phone, but don't want to miss out on the opportunity because it gets bought out by the time it becomes available in the store!

I don't think the Japanese events will affect it much since HTC is based in Taiwan.
