When I played the Bruce Lee game on the play it was laggy at times. But asphalt 6 ran the same as it does on my i4

I'm sure over time, the games will get better, it's like any gaming console, the first gen titles aren't great, but with time, they really harness the device's power.

I'm impressed by the Play, I could never play games on the iPhone, or any touch device to be honest, it's a crappy experience since half of the time you lose part of the screen due to virtual controls, and the other half you've got limited control since you're relying on the phone's accelerometer to do anything.

I think having real buttons, the dpad and the touch sensitive joystick like components on the Play are a great change for gaming on your phone.

The only problem I see is developer support. Are devs gonna spend the time and money to create games for a device likely to have a small install/user base?

And to add to that, a limited lifespan in the mobile world?

Who says this is the only Play SE will launch?
They could come out with multiple versions over the years and stick to the Android platform, so the devs may spend more time/money to develop for this platform.

Sure but the GPU in the phone is garbage.

Yes... except since the GPU is garbage devs will have to optimize their games AGAIN for every new SoC used.

Hence why gaming on a phone wont be as complete as it will be on consoles.

Knowing SE they will ALWAYS be using GARBAGE Hardware so dont expect the GPU to be current anytime soon.

I still think it's the best gaming experience on any phone out there, garbage GPU or not.

Why are people saying the CPU is garbage? The majority of android devices use the adreno 205; which is almost on par with what is in the iphone 4 is it not?

Okay then, get a Samsung plastic POS with a dual core, and watch its TouchWiz UI (unremovable) slow down the system to the point where your waiting 1.5 minutes to read an SMS out of the inbox.

Its all about optimization, just like PC Games, some games have crap graphics and run slower than games that have wicked graphic on the same system. SEX12 ARC is well optimized from the reviews. If you want to the best package, a killer display and camera, wicked RF go SE. If you want to edge out an app on a benchmark by a few milliseconds and have to stand on top toes with your phone facing west on a bench outside to get a signal go for the rest.

How does the RF compare to the captivate? RF is something I'm needing right now.
