So I tried the app out and it did not seam to do anything for my phone. When SMS messages are sent and phone is off they arrive when the phone gets turned back on and all have the time the phone turned on at not when they where actually sent.
Ex phone A on. SMS sent at 3:40 from phone 1 SMS received at 3:40 on phone A. Turn off phone A send SMS from phone 1 at 3:50 send second sms at 3:55. Turn phone A back on at 4:10 the 2 SMS sent from phone 1 show a time stamp of 4:10 not the time it was sent from phone 1. And this is with or without the app.

Darn worth a try, I had issues with SMS on my Rogers phone a few months ago and the time stamp worked and made the time stamp correct. Nothing ventured nothing gained...bummer sorry it did not work.

No problem, definitely was worth trying. I never mind testing new apps.

Anyone know if an unlocked LG Optimus LTE would work with MTS? Would it get the high LTE speeds?

It wouldn't get the LTE speeds... yet. Give it a year or two.

I have no problems at all with my gNex everything works great. Well maybe mms don't work correctly but I never use it anyway. The new update 4.0.4 makes it better too.

I found an app that does the trick. It's not pretty but it works. SMS Sent Time

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ttimefix&hl=en

It adds (sent time XXX) to the contents of the message. I have friends that text while I'm sleeping and my phone is off, it was really annoying trying to figure out what time they might have sent the message.

Wow. This is awesome. I just tested it out and it works great, good detective work. Thanks for posting. Silly that android can't tap inti that time stamp.

    Samsung Focus

Took a rogers Samsung Focus (Windows Phone Mango). Carrier unlocked it.
Put in a new MTS SIM card.
Set the apn to sp.mts (left all other fields blank).

Voice works. Data works. MMS does not.
    Not sure why.

You have to fill in the rest for mms to work, MTS has all the settings on their site. Without the MMS settings it will never work.

A Custom ROM solves this and has the options built in to do true time stamps

    Hey radmacks,
Are you familiar with where the MMS settings have to go on the Focus and WP7?

I tried plugging the mms settings from the MTS site into the "Edit APN" area of settings. Could not get it going (but of course the field names dont all match up, so maybe I just need to juggle them around some more).
But I am reading on other forums that these settings have to be changed in a provisioning XML file that can only be changed on developer unlocked devices.

And interestingly, i have an AT&T unlocked device working on theRogers network without any of the APN fields entered at all (data and mms work). Is it getting it over the air?
