really they should do it all. if they missed it you can bring it back and have them do it. wont cost you anything. (or your wife.)
Add me to the list of success! Samsung Captivate/Galaxy. Had a bit of trouble, but the guy at the new Connect store on Henderson eventually got everything working!
thom13 what were the issues? Just no apn`s in the phone or the Rogers one`s?
Yeah that happened to me with my HTC Desire Z. Brought it in and they didn't enter the APN settings right. I think it was because the rep had no idea how things worked. She kept going on and on about how my phone probably isn't "provisioned" for the MTS network. Provisioning is a CDMA thing, not a GSM/HSPA thing. I probably could have got a different rep to help me but I just went home and popped the APN settings in.
He had trouble getting data to work for a while. Not quite sure what the problem was?

Yeah that happened to me too. When I first put in the MTS sim it didn't find the network for a min or two.
Picked up a slightly used Rogers Samsung Captivate, unlocked it by rooting it and using the Galaxy_S Unlock app. Went to the MTS store on Pembina by Bishop Grandin to get a sim card and have them set it up. The guy there did all the work to get it going, but didnt wait to see if it would work. He figured I hadnt unlocked it and was out of luck. I told him to activate the sim card anyway and I would work on unlocking it later. When I got to the car, I reset the phone, popped the sim card in, waited a minute or so, and everything worked perfect. Best part is I only got charged for the card because he didn't think the setup worked.
PS - What a great phone! I can't beleive MTS doesn't have any decent Android options for their new network.
Revolution HD here as well. I like Sense way to much to go without it.
