Have not used Page Plus but would an Element Mobile Blackberry work?

Thinking about an Ebay “Buy-It-Now” for an Element Mobile Blackberry 9330. Owner was in an Alltel area that got switched to Element. Says phone was used on Element for about a month and then they switched providers. Phone has been wiped to factory settings. He refers to Element site for more specifications and there it includes that Network is:
    * CDMA Dual Band: 800/1900 MHz
    * CDMA Dual Mode: CDMA2000 1X with EVDO

Would this phone work on PagePlus? If it will, what would be involved in doing so? I need the browser to work! Not that interested in MMS.

Thanks for any help you can give. Have used a dumbphone from Tracfone on Verizon's towers for years and it works well.

Thought of something else. Element appears to be using Verizon towers according to their coverage map.

Ive never played with an element phone so dont know if it will OTA like an Alltel one could but if you got one, you could use a combination of blackberry desk top manager and qpst to load in the page plus prl and then manually program the phone and you will get talk and text.

You could try loading in the verizon page plus service books as well thru desk top manager and see if they work in it, if they do (which they should i believe) then you can use the native blackberry browser for internet and get picture messaging, no other blackberry featuers like messenger will work though.

Or Get a verizon one on ebay instead and just OTA it by dialing *228 and then load the service books in seperate and your good to go.

Understand Verizon phones work on EM. Reverse could be true too (and on Page Plus).
    Element's a bit of a mess I understand. Avoid.

I have seen you around a number of different places on these forums so you may have seen other posts by me about what I have been struggling with because of my hearing loss. But I am including a little more explanation for those that haven’t.

Well . . . a support person at CapTel agreed with me that it makes sense to use a browser in a smartphone in place of the browser on a computer for one of the sites with webcaptel. Such as http://www.sprintrelay.com/sprint_webcaptel/index.php or http://www.hamiltoncaptel.com/what_is_hamilton_captel (Can’t use the single device mobile as described on the Hamilton because I don’t have access to any GSM 3G service) but he did not know of anyone that had done so and reported back to them. The smartphone would take the place of the computer and my old TracFone (dumbphone that uses the Verizon towers) would take the place of the phone as described on the above site.

Page Plus seems to be the best value in a carrier that actually has smartphone access that is NOT GSM.

As far as Element is concerned; I would NOT be activating on Element but putting a phone that started there on Page Plus. I like the form factor of Blackberry and it is one that the sites mention (there are other sites besides the ones I listed) so that is where I have started. Open to other suggestions.
