Sprint overdid the multibrand strategy. Ptel has better rates and CC was never really pushed very hard. There was talk of even another brand but seeing how redundant it will all be with VM and Boost, it only makes sense to condolidate.
Sprint always has to make everything so complex. Lol.
Maybe these Common Cents Mobile customers will soon be joined by Boost Mobile subscribers in the not too distant future. Now that Sprint is pulling the plug on the iDen walkie talkie service, it would seem like the perfect time to merge the remaining Boost Mobile customers onto the high performing Virgin Mobile prepaid service brand.
CON-Tracts??? We don't need no stinking contracts!
PayLo customers often complain of the lack of a readily available QWERTY phone. Common Cents offers the Kyocera S2300 (Looks an awful lot like a Loft).
This might work as a workaround/hack/BYOD for PayLo folks wanting a QWERTY phone!

The s2300 is a loft, or the loft is an s2300 depending on how you want to look at it. lol.
There are two VM versions of the Loft. A Paylo /universal version and a BT only version. Other alternates include the Rumor 2 (all plans), and the older Kyocera XTC, Switchback and Wildcard. All VM qwerty's that work on all plans including PayLo.

Not disagreeing. That's why I used the term "readily available". Any QWERTY phone you can currently buy from VM's website, or any store that sells VM, is listed as BT only. Yes, the secondary market offers the alternatives you listed, but for a n00b, nothing is obvious.
I just thought i'd mention that Virgin Mobile will grandfather the 7 cents roll down for all CC Customers who joined before May 1st 2011. They haven't mentioned if this plan will be added to Paylo but know's a good time to join CC if your the 7 cents roll down meets your que.
