bold 9900 and bberry 9860

Does anyone know when the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry 9860 will be released. I have searched and got mixed answers some say April 16th 2011 and others say some time May 2011. Both phones look great I am curious to see how the bold 9860 touchscreen will be and if it maybe too small to be a touch. Not a fan of the storm 3 aka 9900 but looks really good.

If anyone has information that would be great. Thanks in advance.

No way the 9900 is going to be released before May 2011. I honestly think we're looking closer to a June/July release of it.

I think it will be May. It seems Rim devices are not keeping up with the market. I say in 2 yrs they will be gone. I just think the 9900 screen will be too small for the touch feature. Also the 9860 doesnt look like a iphone 4gs competitor lol

RIM is not going under lol. like it has been stated in many other threads, theres a reason why companies want their workers to use BB's over iphones. Also the Nexus S is quicker than the Iphone :P

I'd like two tokes of what you're smoking, please. Honestly 2 years?! EVEN if RIM did NOT get ANY revenue from BES or from 60% of their handheld sales they have ENOUGH money to keep going for two years straight without NOC or network partnership issues. Your sentiments may have been bragging at the least and the same was shared with Nokia about their Symbian stronghold falling to pieces … they're still around still spending on marketing and doing quite well.

Depending on the nature of business and user makeup of a corporation some may indeed goto iPhones, and some will be a mixed environment which is what mine does. However many are global and not ALL regions support data or handheld matrix supporting iPhones.

They haven't officially been announced so any speculation on a release date is just that - pure speculation.

BlackBerry World in Orlando starting May 2, 2011... We should get the official phones shown to us along with release dates.

damn also i dont get why the 9860 is a lower model number then the 9900. From gsmarena.com it shows the 9860 to be strongest phone. I wonder how it will match up to the samsung s2 and the nexus s or even the iphone 5 which is now pushed to September 2011

They are completely different animals. Don't get fooled into comparing phones which are for 2 different types of user. Look at what your needs are and pick the one that best suits you.

Well this was leaked internally on BlackBerry's official US page for a hot-minute but now long gone.
I'm actually really looking forward to upgrading to the 9900 - for the hardware and FW improvements mostly; yet I still prefer the smaller 9780 design.

This 9900 really looks too much like the Motorola Q - which will feel BIG+Wide in the hand with a flat back. Wonder if a charging stand will exist.

PS: Why does RIM still continue to use the MicroUSB port on the side?

I think bberry has a winner just wish there was a camera on the front

only questions is the blackBerry Touch(Storm 3) 9860 going to be better because it has a bigger screen.
