Release date is May 27th. All phones can be unlocked but they have to bring it to docomo stores to get it unlocked. 3G internet works, at least on sh-12c :P

IMO, this has been superseded by the 007SH.

Not superseded per se, but rather intended for different markets. It's like saying a 005SH is better than a SH-07B- it is, but nobody's surprised since the 005SH is an Android-based smartphone and the SH-07B is more of a standard, non-smartphone, classic keitai.

The only difference in the SH-10C and 007SH equation is that they're both flips. The main reasons still remain true- smartphone vs non-smartphone.

I expect the 007SH to cost more than this.

it means that after you unlocked it, you can just plug in your local sim and make phone call, send sms and use internet with 3G connection..you don't need to change APN or whatever.....

I am 75% sure that 3G is unlocked.....

Thanks! I knew that the unlock would give us the ability to use foreign sim cards for calls & sms, however in the past there was no way to edit APN information on DoCoMo handsets (to use internet you *have* to input your local provider's APN settings), hence my question.

Yea, I think having the charging port on the bottom is more aesthetically pleasing, but I'll be using the charging dock anyway so it doesn't bother me that much

Having it on the bottom makes it much easier to use when having something plugged in...

Wouldn't a headphone adaptor on the bottom be better anyways (since you're likely to place your phone in your pocket in the portrait position rather than landscape I think)?

No, because the adaptors usually stick out sideways for you to plug in a 3.5mm jack.

Sorta looks like that. Has a cable (ie not one piece) so bottom or side doesn't really make a difference for me.

It's just that usability of the handset when plugged in is hampered b/c of the cable sticking out the side.
