i wonder if i could buy it from yahoo auction and ask my friend who live in japan to pick up the phone and bring my sh-10c to DOCOMO Shop for unlocking it for me ?

After that ask him to send me the phone in Thailand.

Can I use my normal gsm simcard and surfing the internet on my sh-10c via wifi ??

as far as i know no one really knows if it MUST be the original owner of the phone who MUST have it unlocked, of if proof of purchase from the original owner is enough to have docomo unlock it for you. i find it unlikely that docomo will unlock something for anyone but the original owner but i really hope they do. i am looking at doing the same as you (sorry to everyone on here selling them, but as a student i just dont have the cash to blow 800 or more dollars on a phone, 550-600 is almost possible however.)

so far mobile internet does NOT work. some people are working on a way of changing APN settings, but at this point mobile internet will NOT work on any carrier but DOCOMO. Wifi will work on a non DOCOMO sim though.

Hoping that someone ll know the detail about this unlock thing.

i ll ask my japanese friend if he can ask the docomo assistant about the unlock s stuff or not?

Btw i know that he uses iphone4 by softbank -*- so i think he dont know all the details about docomo's contract.

that would be good actually, please let us know when he gets back to you and the out come of that. i am looking at buying a SH-10C while i am over in japan in a few weeks, but would need a second hand one as i dont have the required documentation to buy one from DOCOMO. being able to get a second hand one unlocked myself would likley save a lot of searching in second hand shops ^_^

First impressions are "Damn it's a lot bigger than my SX862 (920SH)" and "The 3D effect is pretty awesome!"

I just ordered a white SH-10C - should look great next to my white SH7218U - I have two questions:

1. Is the LED the same as in SH7218U?
2. Are the pictures of SH-10C better at night because of the CCD sensor?
