So does the unlocked DINC2 works for AT&T? Anyone actually tried other than TMobile?

You might get EDGE on AT&T or T-Mobile but no 3G. Depends on whether the phone is blocked from those networks.

You would be advised instead to get an 850/1900 HTC Incredible S (Bell Canada version) or 850/1900 HTC Sensation (Bell Canada version) to use on AT&T.

Thanks for your feedback... that certainly make sense. But I guess I'm just trying to make sure if I slide in my AT&T SIM card on this unlocked DINC2 (without rooted), it will just work on voice and minimum data.

I'm trying to buy this phone and want to make sure it works prior my spend the money...

How much are you spending on it? It's always a very disappointing experience to use a nice phone with a lovely screen and a zippy processor, yet have to suffer 2G data speeds.

I guess the on going rate is around US$200-250... not necessary for me to get a brand new one.
but i have more reasons to make the move due to my complicate usage model involving several phones and traveling different countries, as well as personal interest just to play around with different smart phones.. so as long as the voice works fine, the data bandwidth may not be my biggest concern.
