Any updates on when they will release this? Really excited for this one haha.

DROID DOES
Maybe I'm missing something but what is the hype w/the Charge? I've read about six reviews on it and everyone of them says the Thunderbolt is a better product.
Aaaaaand it's official! On sale tomorrow! Enjoy!

WOOOO, its offficial. I'll be picking mine up as soon as I make $300 + $60 (gotta pay for data plan 2 months in advance).
I was just in my local Verizon store and there it was.
All the store employees were wearing Samsung Charge T-shirts as well.
I played with it. I like the screen itself but I think I like the HTC interface better (TouchSense I think it is called).
I've been waiting for the Charge to be released so I can decide between it or the Thunderbolt. All the talk about battery issues with the Thunderbolt really scare me away from that phone to be honest.
I have a question for 4G phones in general. I'm travelling to India in the summer, is it possible to buy a pre paid SIM and put it in the DROID charge? I heard all 4G phones are Global phones. Is this true?
Wow, you've really heard some wrong info.
None of the 4G phones out are Global phones.
The SIM card is ONLY used for the 4G LTE and phone activation.
If you put any other type of SIM in there, the phone will probably not work.
Besides, the 4G phones do NOT support GSM, just CDMA/EVDO/LTE.
=> Read my reviews for the Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, and Casio G'zOne Commando.
=> VX8000 at Disney World:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.
played with it today and the screen is beautiful but I hate that UI and still leaning toward dual core
I hear this comes with a free hotspot add-on. Does that mean for the life of the phone as long as you have it or would it carry over to another device? I'm guessing not, but it'd be really sweet and almost be worth it for lifetime free hot spot access.
Am I missing the huge thread somewhere were people have bought this and are reviewing it? Or do people really dislike Samsung Androids that much LOL
I think it's the latter. Due mostly to Touchwiz and lack of timely OS updates. I've never used a Samsung Android phone, so I'm only going by what I've read.
I bought mine last week, after waiting to see the LG Revolution, to compare all 3 of the 4G phones. Love the display, phone works great. Battery life is at least as good as the original Droid I had been using. I was trying to wait for the dual-core 4G phones to come out, but was worried about the rumors of Verizon going to a tiered data plan, and wanted to grandfather in my unlimited plan. 4G is just starting to roll out in the area, haven't seen it yet, but understand that some areas of Albany already have it. Supposed to be here by the end of the year. I only stopped by to see if anyone had any rumors about the Gingerbread update for this phone, Verizon rolled it out for the Droid X last weekend. Guess I'm like a kid with a new toy...
