HTC Droid Incredible 2 Release Thread

Just a note for Corporate Users. If your Exchange Administrator requires encryption for your ActiveSync compatible phones, the HTC Incredible 2 has been updated to block the ability for your device to sync, unlike the Droid Incredible (Original). It will go through the initial setup, acknowledge that you may have pin requirements, and indicate that the administrator will be able to remote wipe your device without any prompts to you. It will even take you through the PIN/Password setup, and enforce the lock timer, as well as failed attempts wipe. However after all that is done, you will get an error message "Exchange Policy Error: Unable to sign in to your Exchange account because your policy settings are incompatible with those on your server. Please contact youe (they misspelled it, not me!) IT team for assistance." When you click details it will read "Policy setting incompatible: Device encryption enabled, Require device encryption. Please contact youe (again on the HTC) IT team for assistance."

As always Touchdown is a great solution for Exchange Activesync Enabled users who want to sync Corporate Data on their anDroid devices.
