I've definitely noticed faster speeds on Wind during off peak hours. During peak hours Wind and Mobilicity seem to have similar speeds.

I get around 2mbps at home but ping is around 450ms. I've been debating whether it is worth it or not to switch to Wind on their $29 plan because I am on the 2011 $25 bts plan with 2off. One of the main reasons is because I can get back together savings with someone else on the Wind plan. Wind probably does have better speeds throughout metro van but trying to get some more evidence here.

The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.
For the most part my speeds are around 3mbps down and 1mbps up during peak tiimes but I have had 6.8mbps down and 4.5mbps up early in the morning. I still get crappy speeds from time to time also however, but I think it's getting better!
