BestBuy product exchange plan X Unlocked Milestone
Hi everyone,
I have a situation here. Recently, my Milestone is hanging up, rebooting, lagging... First of all, this is a Telus Milestone and I paid full price on it because I wanted to unlock it and be free without any carrier contract. I do have a best buy 2yrs product exchange plan however I did unlock the phone.
On March 2010, I warned the bestbuy employee that I was going to Unlock the phone and even though he offered me the product exchange plan. I was told that unlocking the phone doesn't affect at all the plan.
Today, at best buy they said that they can't take to repair or replace it because the phone got unlocked. It is not a Telus phone anymore.
Well, I wasn't told about it when I got the product exchange plan.
questions:
1) Are they allowed to do it? On the warranty program description does not mention that cellphones CANNOT be unlocked.
