    xanadette,
    Adding to the good advice from Lisme and annepani, have you tried to format it on your computer via the DOS CMD prompt? What is your Windows OS (XP, Vista, 7)?

    I have facebook on my lg800g, I tap the "blue dice">Games & Apps>Facebook bar, when facebook loads there are some navigation arrows and on each side is 'ok' and 'num' and just above that are two squares with a line on it. Can someone tell me what they are for?

    There is no third screen on the Tracfone Versions of the phone. If you can read the guide you will see features included that the Tracfone version does not include. They forgot to update the device guide or Tracfone would not pay to update it.

    Both of you compare the first 6 digits of your SIM S/N (20 digits total) Look within the prepaid menu for it.
    890126 = T-Mobile
    890141 = AT&T

    Failing that, you may need to call tracfone and work with them to reprogram the phone. My 290c did this about 18 months ago, spontaneously deciding that it was roaming even though nothing had changed (literally I put it on my nightstand one night, and then next morning it was roam city). I had to go through about 7 code entry screens before it was finally fixed.

    tracfancier: i see by the code you gave mine's tmobile. i can't get signal in the basement where i work. (i'm with tracfone.)
    1. will the at&t carrier give me a better signal?
    2. am i able to change carriers?
    3. will it be more hassle than it's worth, since my phone works well elsewhere?
    thanks, cogs

    kaysteele2: you can't download themes, but only wallpaper. your screen size is 240x320. you can use any wallpaper that size. typing 240x320 wallpaper in google, the first site is: http://www.cell11.com/wallpapers/240%20x%20320/1.html

    If I order using my zip code I get a T-Mobile SIM which gives me a signal fluxating between 1 and 3 bars. I use a zip for AT&T and my phones stay pegged on 5 bars. That could also turn out to be your experience. Talking them into sending an AT&T SIM is not easy and you have to port your number and service over. In your case I would wait till you order a new phone. The only bundle now comes with the Sammy T301G - if you wanted to test with the 20M/60D you get activating and then decide which phone receives the bundled airtime card. Although it would not be a reliable comparison if you were using two different phones.

    I am new here and so I don't know if I am posting this in correct catergoy, etc. If not, please let me know where I should post the following question.
    I just upgraded to the LG800G and want to know if there is any way to have the length of the call (minutes) displayed on the screen when I am talking to someone (or holding for someone to answer) - so I would know how much airtime minutes I am using?
    The minutes (length of call) were displayed on previous LG420G, if I am not mistaken.
    Any solution?

    P.S. How do I make sure I receive email notification when someone replies to my posts?

    Blue dice > Settings > Call > Common Settings > Minute Minder

    Maybe this shows the call minutes?

    #1- Thank you kindly.
    I did what you outlined and then made a call and got their voice mail box and I left a message, but I didn't see anything on the screen indicating the amount of time I spent leaving the voice message.

    #2- If I have another question, can I make my own thread? Or must I always post to this thread? If I can leave my own thread, where would I put it (forum/category) for the LG800G.
    (It has already dropped two calls I was making and I hope that is not a sign of things to come!)

    #3- BTW I didn't receive an email notification of your reply.

    To start a new thread:

    At the Tracfone/Net10 master screen, at the top on the left, look for the phrase +Post New Thread. That will start a new thread.

    If you're trying to display the length of the current call, while you are on that call, my LG800G already displays it in the top left of the screen right under the top bar with all the icons, it doesn't start counting until the call connects. Did you overlook it or does your phone not display it? FYI, the Minute Minder doesn't display anything it causes the to phone beep every minute while you're on a call so you know another minute has elapsed. If you want to try it out you have to make a call that lasts more than a minute or leave a voicemail like you did that lasts more than 1 minute.
