I looked through both helps, and I still cannot find which button changes the word it guesses when texting using T9, so if anyone can help, I would LOVE to know! I'm really stumped!

shelli, you didn't want to use the keyboard to text? i can see the words automatically, and if it's not there, i press the right arrow, and it shows more words. the only thing that's crazy, is like, when you press 't' to write 'the', it only offers 't'. so for simple words, we're almost typing the whole word, lol.

i was reading a book on my phone, but the buttons are close together, and i get lost in the book... does anyone use a book reader, and the link?

I hadn't had any luck finding a book reader ap which would load and allow me to read at all, which one are you using?

In another thread I posted how to change the cartoon Icon/theme to the Black theme.
I read about it in a blog on the phone but the poster there did not say where it was. So after finding it I posted it here on the forum.
I will post it again here and then my latest discovery which I did not see directions to anywhere else.

Just got my LG800G, discovered in Settings (which looks like a blue dice at the bottom of the screen)>Display>Theme>Black

When you get to the theme page, swipe the screen to the left to see the Black theme. It looks more like the IPhone or Android kind of icons than the default cartoon theme.
I have only had it for a few hours, but it seems like a nice little phone so far.

Contact them on their facebook page and ask for the codes for you to enter to change to the number of rings you require.

The jury is still out as to which I prefer between T9 and QWERTY, but I don't think you can use the QWERTY for things like entering contacts, etc.

I'm stumped on a new one, now....how do you "ENTER" when you're browsing? I was doing fine until I filled-in a box and needed to hit "ENTER" but I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone help me with that?

I love a lot of things about this phone, but the manual doesn't seem to be much help and there is a learning curve for me!

are you able to touch the text box, to get it to show the keypad, then press 'ok' or 'connect in lower right?

Hey everyone, I own an LG 800G Tracfone. I really like the phone, but there is one thing that really irks me that maybe some of you more knowledgeable folks can help me out with. I have noticed with this phone that I cannot receive pictures that exceed about 350 or 400 kb. Does anyone know of a way or any settings on this phone that I can access to compress the picture before I open it? Because the phone pops up with a message that says "Maximum size exceeded", so it won't allow me to even open the message and view the picture. Is there anything I can do about this? Would appreciate any help, even if there is nothing I can do about.

Very frustrating and slightly embarrassing when someone sends me a picture and I can't even view it... thanks in advance!

Try the space bar button. That is how I select the word T9 is suggesting.

Nope. Just a limit on MMS message size. It's a bit old, but that was one of the early limits.

That is a shame. I have enjoyed my service from tracfone, but it is disappointing they have not really kept up with the times... thank you for the info though!

Just be thankful they even support MMS.
They are getting better phones. Messages to an email address are much easier.
There are still a lot of phones/plans that have limits on MMS size as it's still the recommend size in the standard.

Besides, 300KB takes enough time (cost) to download. I wouldn't want get a bunch of bigger messages.
