not sure if this is the exact size, but it's smaller than the screen size,
    Java Canvas Size: 240 x 276 pixels
    per: http://www.mobilerated.com/lg-lg800g...fications.html

so 320-276=44, making the whole rectangle of keys 240x44 (for the gamepad keys).
regarding the messaging qwerty, the buttons are pretty big.

Hoping this is the appropriate place to post.

Trying to figure out how to use the "voice recorder" on the LG800G. Package clearly states that it has one. I'll be darned if I can find it.

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks in advance.

Thanks...what I really want to know, however, if is there a voice recorder that is an separate app from the Video Recorder. That's the impression I got from the package. I know you can record a very short message to send out as an attachment with a text message. What I want, though, is the ability to record a somewhat longer voice recording (I may need a sim card for that, I know) since this is something my husband would use fairly often. Thanks.

You'll probably want a microSD card (You already have a SIM card as it's required for making calls)

Page 5 of the PDF linked above shows it on Menu Screen 2 as "Voice Recorder"

Okay, question 1. Do you actually have an LG 800?

Question 2. Do you know how to get to the second Home screen? The widget is clearly labeled Voice Recorder. Why are you referring to a Video Recorder?

There is an internal phone memory storage limit of 500 SMS/text messages with the LG800g, so my question is if it possible to move or save the messages outside of the phone SMS/text memory area?
    Cheers!

You can move them to My Folder. Does that help?

No, because My Folder is part of the SMS/text message 500 limit memory. I checked the text message count under Settings->Phone->Memory Info->Internal used memory->"Text Msg count" before and after moving 5 messages and it stayed the same.

move them instead to 'move to sim' (if you have a sim card installed).
btw, the 'my folders' is on the messages menu, and will not show up on the memory menus (lol i just couldn't find my files there!)

You have to have a SIM card installed to use the phone.
The SIM will only hold 30 messages.

There's normally no way to move Sent messages either.

Yep, SIM card limit is 30 messages, so that does not help the long term problem of text messages constantly coming in and no way to get them out of phone memory (for free .

I'm looking for a free way to get the text messages to the microSD card or off the phone to a PC. Even if there is a way, e-mailing them is not a viable option for me because that would consume units, unless I can e-mail tens at a time. I guess for now, they'll just have to get deleted to stay within the 500 msg limit.

    Thanks for all the responses.

You could get a SIM card reader to copy/backup on a computer.
Trouble is finding a good reader and working software at a reasonable price.

It also doesn't help with Sent messages.

sorry, i was getting the microsd card mixed up with the sim card.
where are the sim, yes sim card files in the menu? i can't seem to find the messages i saved there.
i'm looking in the 'all/internal/external' files, as well as the 'my folders'.

also, what's your favorite app (lol as if there's alot)? the ones i 'use' are spruce chess and 'touchxtreme' (memory game). i don't particularly like them, they're just what will run.
