I am pretty certain I will buy the LG 500G to replace a buggy and boring LG420g. I'm concerned about getting the right data transfer cable the first time, though.
I was unaware that there might be an issue. I just grabbed an inexpensive USB A to micro B cable at a local surplus/discount computer place. (The sell lots of cheap import parts and out of date systems/components)
Just a cheap cable, nothing fancy. It's marked USB2.0, and high-speed.
Could have got it for less, but didn't want to wait to have it shipped.

It needs to specify its for both data transfer and charging.
Well I just received a micro/SD cable from them uesterday. I purchased a micro SD card from Amazon for $6.00. You asked a question and I answered it. I did not give you the utter confusion I received when I asked a question in this forum.
Good Luck with whatever you decide to do, but you should have pointed their error out to them so they could correct it instead of acting like a spoiled child and complaining. I am sure it was a mistake on their part.
I did not ask you anything. Can you not even tell the different posters apart?

I already have my parts. I have nothing to decide.
I did point out their error, and it has not been fixed.
Meanwhile you're happy to send unsuspecting people there looking for accessories when they are still listing known incompatible items for the phone.
Accessories are in another thread. http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...for-the-LG500G It would seem to be the primary source of info when search is used, which means truly helpful additions for gear would be posted there - NOT cluttering up a "HOW TO" thread with more anti social backbiting.
This is about how to operate the phone, i.e., select menu items, port music, etc. I'd like to know how to block callers and put certain numbers on auto reject. ANYONE who has actually done this, can you reply?
Old 1888harrasspeoplenotevenremotelyconnecttoadeadbeat is still ringing me twice daily.
Tirod,
Make a new Group under your contacts (maybe group called .SPAMMERS), enter the numbers you want to block as new contacts and assign them to that group. If you call them something like .SPAM1 the "." puts them at the end of your contact list so they're not mixed in with all the rest of your contacts. Once you have them saved and assigned to the new Group on your phone go MENU>SETTINGS>CALL>CALL REJECT, turn Reject to ON, change Reject List to Groups, and then select the Group you assigned them to under Group 1, then select done. If they call it won't ring your phone it will send them directly to voicemail and so far none of the people I've been blocking have bothered to leave a message. You will get notified of the missed call but if you named them so you recognize their calls you can just delete their missed call notifications. Side note: As long as you have Call Reject active you'll see a curved arrow icon on your status bar just to the right of the memory card icon. Hope that helps!
I do this on every phone I have that offers Call Reject to keep those bill collectors who are after a previous owner of my Tracfone number from bothering me at all hours of the day and night. Sounds like you're in the same boat. It works for me, should work for you.
Does it matter whether or not I am able to differentiate the poster's of various comments? You're all a bunch of hostile sexually frustrated nerds regartless as evidenced by your response.
I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

My daughter recieved the tracfone lg500g a few days ago from grandpa because she's been sick, any way,
Can someone tell me how to change the options for recieving text messages, it only says there is a text, not who it is from. There has to be a way to change the settings to show who is sending the message, or it would be a waste of minutes and time. I appreciate the help and your knowledge. Thank you.
