Some people that don't get the help that they need from this forum either didn't state their problem accurately (very common issue), or for some reason just can't follow directions. No big deal - but I am not a bewildered young man - LOL! As I stated earlier, I am 51 years old - not young by my book! Bewildered? No, I have Opera mini on my phone, it works great, I know how to run it properly, and I have helped others install a "signed" version of it (meaning a version that doesn't display the annoying "this application is untrusted" messages). Do you have a signed version of Opera mini? Believe me, having a signed version makes a difference!
I will continue to try and help other people with Tracfone issues that actually appreciate it - there are plenty of them.
[Sarcasm]Rach is gone? How will this forum survive without all her valuable input. After all she served as a fine ambassador to the ATTITUDE community.[/s]
By the way, if you are dumb as a youngster you will probably be dumb as a 50-something as dummies don't learn, That's why they are dumb!
You just do that & just keep up your annoying tactics. What I mean by that is you all act like emotional;ly immature children. I CLEARLY wrote that the 1st time I tried to launch the Opera mini Browser that it did not work. Yes that advice was first givien to me but it didn't work. Jesus have to repeat myself a million ******* times.
Yes I am over 50 and the way you dimwits are going you'll be lucky if you reach that age. You never believe anything a person tells you as if you are important enough to lie to.
Now you can either bellyache online about this letter, or grow some nuts and let the subject die like it is supposed to. Jesus I cannot believe you all are still whining.
BTW, you said you couldn't start Opera AFTER you went online. Never explained what you meant by going online, so we assumed you meant using the built-in browser. We did ask for clarification. You never said that you started Opera form the apps list directly and had a problem.
So, since you weren't specific in what you had done and what the errors were, we had to guess at the missing info.
@Rach - if you are PO'ed with us, I am sure we can get your initiation fee, your question fee and your PITA fee refunded to you. If we are lucky enough to have you leave, please do not go with the feeling that you will be missed.
By the way young lady, if you are such an intelligent 50-something, how come you spell emotionally with a semicolon in it? Have you ever heard of PROOFREADING??
rachelsluv - can you please do us a favor? Can you tell us what did work for you to solve this particular problem? I offered you advice with the intent of helping you. If that really did not work, and you found a solution that did work, could you please let me know what that was? I would really like to know, so that I can better help others that may have the same problem that you did.
Wow, children, maybe it's time to call a time out? As amusing as it is to see grown people arguing like a bunch of hormonal teenagers, it's really only poorly reflecting on those who participate.
You don't have to respond to someone, and when they're just clearly trying to get a rise out of you, the best thing to do is roll your eyes and ignore them. I moderate forums professionally (not here, though, naturally) and I've got 12 year olds that know better than to act like this.
Can anyone help me with my question? I asked before things degenerated into the school playground.

Long standing issue with the TracFone modification, and I've yet to hear of anyone changing the behavior of the "browser" button (not even a way of disabling the browser).
It may well be possible, especially with the newer phones, but it hasn't happened yet.
What do you all say we keep this thread on topic. No more arguing back and forth, insults, etc. If this thread cannot continue without that it will be serving no useful purpose here, and will be closed.

Have you read the rules lately? They're usually in a sticky at the top of the page.
If you have a problem with a post for any reason, please report it rather than responding to it, and a moderator will be along shortly.
dragonchilde, as far as we know it can't be done - Tracfone for some reason has hard-coded this button, and not allowed for it to be customized. For some other models of phones with this undesirable feature, some people have resorted to ripping the phone apart, and actually disabling circuitry behind the button to stop this feature. But it's risky - and no one (as far as I know) has done anything like that for model.
You would not believe how nicely this is set up on the LG 800G so that you cannot accidently open the browser. In addition it even asks if you want to open the browser and you have to push yes or no.

Name calling and personal insults are unacceptable! Please behave yourself and act civilized in the forum. Thanks!
I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

This is ridiculous, yes they are nerds hyperventilating over NOTHING.
I know that this is a free forum but if I figure out what I needed because the 14 year olds are busy incessentally writing "Why?" and "What?" then they shouldn't get upset that not everyone is tolerable of their adolescent sensitivities, and as far as warning me NOT to name call, I haven't called anyone a name and personally what the **** are they going to do to me if I had? Ban Me? Please do this ******** forum is USELESS. Godamnm babies.
