Hi,
I am a complete novice as far as mobile phones are concerned and don't really understand the blocking/unblocking thing.
I had a Sony Ericcson C510 on a contract with the 3 network in the UK. I also have a contract on Orange. I was unable to use my Orange SIM in the Sony Ericcson C510 phone so I asked the nice guy at the local market if it was possible to use it on the Orange network. He charged me £10 to "unblock" it and that seemed to work until today!!! When I checked my recent calls, all called were displayed in some weird looking Arabic text and the same with my contact list.
Soon after my phone switched itself off and once I switched it back on again I had no coverage on the Orange network, or any other network actually. Some features of the phone also refused to work correctly such as the contact list and text messaging.
I decided to try the phone's master reset which has got the phone back to normal apart from the fact that I still can't get on the Orange network.
I fear by performing a master reset I may have "locked" my phone again.
Can someone confirm is this is true and also if there is a way to get it working on the Orange network please and also if this process is legal?
The phone in question is as good as brand new, it's over a year old but was not used at all until last month.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Roly
