Google Voice in area code 307

Went through transition today, mostly with good results! Much better data speed and sound quality with my new handset! Yay!

However...

Google Voice is still routing calls to my Alltel handset. But when any other phone (Verizon, Quest, AT&T) dials my carrier number (AT&T nee Alltel) my AT&T handset rings. I've tried removing the AT&T number as a GV phone but now I can't verify it to put it back on! pffft!

I may post over at google's support forum, but that's usually cumbersome.

*sigh*

Anyone else have this problem...and find a fix...or have the problem just, uh, go away?

thought I'd follow up regarding my panic.

I removed my number from GV and made sure my old Alltel phone remained off for 24 hours and *then* re-added the number to GV.

All worked as expected after that.

I think part of the problem was that call forwarding (i.e. Google Voicemail) was activated on the line in question *during the transition*. But that's just speculation on my part.
