Anyone know how to do this yet?
Haven't tried but maybe the normal tap of top left top right bottom right bottom left?
I tried that and failing the activation multiple times, and both do not work.
might be worth trying the 4 corners some more. Look in infocenter->equipment guide->x2->programming under the heading for OTA
I'm getting mine in today, and I can let you know when I have time to get hands on with it and try.
info center mentions safemode to deal with unstable programs but the instructions dont work. neither does the 4 corners unlock method. its a bummer
Yeah, 4 corners did not work. Any other ideas?
Oddly enough I saw all these posts and then the one we got in stock today came with the lock screen already bypassed. It's like they had to do a software update after it was already packaged or something and that bypassed the activation screen. Very odd.
my boss and I found out some interesting stuff happens if you hold the down vollume button while holding the power button.
phone has to be off of coarse.

Interesting like boot loader mode or interesting like bypass activation?
I called Motorola and they told me it was defective and had to send them all back.
I ended up just esn changing a friend's line for a second then switching back.
Hi there. I'm the guy on the other side of the counter. If you're a jerk to me, guess how hard I'm going to try to help you?

That quick esn change voids the warranty
back to the subject IS there a way to bypass the activation screen?
Give this a try. Pull and reinstall battery. Power on and as soon as the activate screen comes up tap the Droid. Works on the ones we have in the store.
This is a test and only a test.
