I tried that and failing the activation multiple times, and both do not work.

might be worth trying the 4 corners some more. Look in infocenter->equipment guide->x2->programming under the heading for OTA

I'm getting mine in today, and I can let you know when I have time to get hands on with it and try.

Yeah, 4 corners did not work. Any other ideas?

Oddly enough I saw all these posts and then the one we got in stock today came with the lock screen already bypassed. It's like they had to do a software update after it was already packaged or something and that bypassed the activation screen. Very odd.

    Wirelessly posted (Steve's phone: Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9650; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.431 Mobile Safari/534.1+)

Interesting like boot loader mode or interesting like bypass activation?

I called Motorola and they told me it was defective and had to send them all back.

I ended up just esn changing a friend's line for a second then switching back.
Hi there. I'm the guy on the other side of the counter. If you're a jerk to me, guess how hard I'm going to try to help you?

That quick esn change voids the warranty

Give this a try. Pull and reinstall battery. Power on and as soon as the activate screen comes up tap the Droid. Works on the ones we have in the store.
This is a test and only a test.

I can confirm this worked. Power on, pull battery and power on again, tap droid as soon as you see it.
Should take you to a terms & conditions screen.
    Thanks froggy

Works great even without an initial start up. Just turn it on out of the box, as soon as the droid shows up (and the led blinks) tap it. Worked great for me as well! Thanks!
