GSM = GPRS. There's no difference in how much battery it uses. Keitais just have poor battery life on 2G, period.

oh thanks
but why would it be written GMS before and now GPRS ?
cos, your CPR phone may be able to get you on the GPRS network, which from feedback, gives better stability in comparison to GSM.

kinda lost " since its the same CPR phone " but thanks
but can i change it back to GSM ? and having GPRS, does it really use more battery ?
but how to i change it back to GSM ?
GSM or GPRS doesn't really affect the battery life. Being on 3G uses the least battery, but then we can't. GPRS was reported by some to be more stable though.
GSM/GRPS seems to be caused by the CPR phone, though I have used the same phone for CPR and got both GSM and GRPS. If you really, really want to get back GSM, then playing around with the CPR phone will be a start
If it helps, it seems dumb phones (those cheap ones not running on smartphone platforms) seems to have better chances of getting GPRS, so you can try a smartphone to get GSM back. But I have used a WinMo phone for CPR and still got GSM and GPRS, so have fun!![]()
It doesn't make a difference in battery life, period. It doesn't matter whether it says GSM or GPRS. You won't be able to connect to the internet and it won't drain any more/less battery.
