    Why the unprovoked hostility? I am simply stating what I was told. I just checked my e-mail to see when I had sent it, and it was April 5th. Tony replied on April 6th. He then sent me a second e-mail on April 23rd to assure me that it was being worked on.

    Instead of flaming each other, I think it would be more productive to discuss the details over PM of what exactly we sent to Wind and how they replied to us, along with the exact dates. We could then conclude whether or not we're being falsely misled, and share that with the community here. Drop me a PM if you're willing to do this.

    You might ask: Why the hell would I do this in real life?

    Answer: I don't. But it is an accurate simulation of what happens to me when I am walking outside in windy weather. Pretty ironic, how wind blowing into the microphone hole causes issues on Wind's network... lol
    1) if u need to do all these things then it makes no difference if it happens! as it seems u need to do something to reproduce it.
    2) my friend is on an iphone 4G on Rogers and if he leaves the car forget talking to him with all the wind noise! My father is on fido with sgh-f266 and same occures. i have yet to hear it when talking to my wife on her BB Curve 3G.

    I can definitely say that i had met all these conditions.
    Which obviously means it is not such a big deal as some try to make it out to be....

    really? That's weird the supporting IT teams were well aware of it before last Christmas. Oh well, you my friend have first hand experiences with the mis-leading of Tony and/or the people who read and respond to his emails.

    Well, we the customers were definitely aware of it for a long time, but I don't see any indications in those links that Wind was aware... Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Wind here. In fact I think it's pretty lame for them to have not known about it, given the amount of discussion there has been on this issue.

    It would be interesting, however, if tim chimed in about when his communication happened with Wind on this issue.

    HOLY CRAP, I have this problem too, I thought it was my phone, (hewei 1250 somthing). Wind needs to fix this problem, I can preach to people like my bro to switch for the fantastic savings, but he's always quick to point out my broken telephone.

    Good news, dasbin! If they are made aware of the fact that many customers are bothered by the issue, it could pressure them to get it fixed sooner...

    They ARE aware. The links show it to be fact. But as usual for Wind they just sit back and let the paid lackeys deal with the issue.

    The address I used in December when I was in porting limbo was anthonylacavera@globalive.com, and this got me a phone call directly from the president's office (not Tony himself but someone close to him).

    I don't know about other areas but where I live this issue has been fixed. I don't know when exactly but definitely in the last 30 days. I am in the Leslie and York Mills area.
