EVO 3D On Fido?

I am currently a Fido customer and I am very interested in buying an EVO 3D and unlocking it. Would there be an issue using the phone on the Fido network?

I see you've posted this a while ago, sorry for not getting back to you before that. We've started answering on Howard Forums only recently.

To answer your question regarding the EVO 3D, make sure you have the GSM version of the phone and not the CDMA/WiMax version. As long as you have the GSM version compatible with the 850/1900 MHz GSM/HSPA frequencies, there won't be any problems using that phone on the Fido network.

That being said, please note that we cannot guarantee that all service will work nor can we provide advanced technical support with a non-Fido device.

Thanks so much Mastaiso. I'm going to give this a try as the settings I currently have sometimes just crap out. I can't explain it, just sometimes - usually after I connect & disconnect from WiFi or go underground & lose reception - data just doesn't pick back up. I find myself rebooting & turning it off, waiting, and turning it back on.

Can't explain it, thought maybe it was the Rogers branded ROM (I think that's the right term) that's pre-installed.
