How to properly backup an Android Phone (HTC Thunderbolt)

    Hey guys,

So I have an HTC Thunderbolt. I'd like to know if there is way to back up my apps and data similar to the way the iPhones back up to iTunes.

When my wife bought her iPhone she had been using an iTouch for about a year. The migration was very simple because we just backed up the iTouch, then restored it to the iPhone.

Is there a similar way to do this for the Android phones? I see something called "Backup Assistant" on the phone. I don't know what is being backed up or where it is going. I thin it's a Verizon app.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

I use an app called My Backup Pro to backup my Android phones. It allows you to backup all data and apps to the SD card, or to the cloud. I believe the app is 5.99, but they also have a free trial.

I've been using this app for a couple years now, across several different phones. It works quite well.

+1 Me too. And it works without root.

Look here for a [VZW Coverage Map] to check your area. Select 4G before hitting [Refresh Map]
