that's hard to tell, since they arent even cloes to launch
I do recall that I also recall wind was never mentioned. Nor in the media. Nor online. I could find no mention of Wind at all.
Just to add insult to injury 1 of the proposed sites is a plastic/ mold making company that my company has dealings with, according to the facilities manager they are still in the talks phase and no commitment has been reached. a wee bit shifty would you say?
Anyone can drive by and see the roof devoid of antennas. Also since they have extensive testing to do, sight analysis and prep work it maybe years BUT that raises a interesting question since we know that the agreement is for Orascom to build the network.. does this mean Vimpelcom will do it now that they are the new owners?
It is with a lot of trepidation that I post this. In reality, I hate to get into discussion on useless subjects (which this thread has been hikacked to) , but this time I'll make an exception.
Does your recall work pretty good when you recall it?
Actually, I've got a question for you:
Can you recall that you recall what your real - I mean REAL - beef is?
Were you picked up as a baby by a strong wind, and now you can't stand the word?
Do you have a close relative named "Tony" who perhaps beat you (either physically, or at tiddlywinks) when you were much younger?
Since (by your profile) you are not a WIND Canada customer, how deep is the burr up your (sorry - I meant: in your bonnet)?
What do you hope to gain from all this, other than seeing your tomes in "print".
Wouldn't it give you more satisfaction if you did something worth-while with your life instead?
Honestly: Think of what you COULD be . . . .
So I just did a scan in KW, and ... well there was no 302490.
But at least I'm on topic.

When wind first was to launch I was on the bandwagon bigtime! I had used wind in Europe and thought it was a great option. I honestly was thinking this could be a viable option! I was totally excited that there was finally a choice.. then little by little I saw they were no better and no worse than the rest. Much worse of as late then I watched as Tony would set atop his soap box and preach to the masses all the while he was sneaking around.. then it just got to be interesting to see him fall all over himself. and just enjoyed the spectacle we now call Wind. I have enjoyed watching how Wind sits back and lets the lackeys preach policy to the masses. Wind invites conversation so I welcome the invitation ad do just that. Ask questions of them, I get into debates and I do hope they can make a go of it. I have said many a time it is because of Wind, indirectly I am sure, why my rates have come down in price. No ECF no SAF more features for the same money. but that is not important. Tony says he wants an even playing field the windies rejoice! Then it is said that they would not be on the field in the first place if there was not a deal made.. the crowd goes quiet.. What deal they say, there was no deal.. then the link is given.. no more talk about the deal.. Tony says look what we have done so far, look at all the good we have done.. link again.. and its not what Globalive did.. it is what did Orascom did.. crowd goes quiet again.. all the hopes and dreams on a company that, for not the back room deal, would not even be here.
The other new entrants had no trouble to play by the rules.. how is that possible? crickets.. I work in a very competitive industry, I know full well how excellent the foreign investment rules work and how well the companies that play by the rules prosper.
I also enjoy how we agree to disagree and totally enjoy the conversation we have here. I was just telling Mike Jones the same thing when I saw him at the Chinese takeaway the other day.
But gents believe me I get it. many do not care how Wind come to market, many do not care what deals were made.. many do not want to see whats in front of them.. they just want cheap wireless that works some of the time, I do get it. I must admit I do take pleasure watching this whole thing unfold. How this whole we are Canadian act has fallen away and now it's the Whats wrong with complete foreign investment. Have I met Tony? No Has he beating me in tiddlywinks? Negative, I was wanting to be a customer very much! But they were not in my area I am afraid. And to be fair when they did come to my area they were spotty at best. I need my handset to work and someone accountable if it does not. And what I do gain? Well ask tammy I am the number 2 guy at Telus. So I get paid to point these things out! Those that know me in person can attest to what I have accomplished. I am able to hold down a job, and for enjoyment poke fun at Wind.
any q's just PM
A lot of posts on this forum just seem to be filled with gibberish these days, i.e. I just scroll right through them. That's pretty sad.
That said, it would be nice if Wind would expand to K-W, but it doesn't help me. What they need to do is fill in the gaps in the network.

Actually, they had been filling up gaps but not as quickly as we all would like, I think that not all the cells within the "home zones" are turned on and some still need tweaking.
Hmm I have noticed little improvement in the last year sine I joined Wind.
