I called the Rogers plus entertainment and they said that first they're sold out of iphone4's and so is every other location in Calgary. Apple store only. And the $100 off can't be combined with the free ps3. I'll try a diff loation and try customer service. Hopefully I can take advantage before it's too late.
On the Rogers 'Family Extortion Plan' Bills are $170-$200/mo
    iPhone 4s,($85 + $12) for myself
    Motorola V360 dumbphone ($25 + $8) for my husband
Nokia 5300 XpressMusic dumbphone ($25) for my 12 year old son
400 shared daytime mins, My10 Canada wide, VM CID on iphone, CID on Motorola, 2G data, Canada wide LD

The $100 off officially ended May 31. The discount code may still work and even though it's not supposed to be combinable with the free ps3, as mentioned it's almost impossible to enforce. The PS3 is redeemable online at www.rogerspromotions.com and it's next to impossible to see how much everyone paid for their smartphones.

There is a different $100 off credit, see bulletin Blockbuster Store Closings. Not to be used in combination with PS3 offer, but alas .. limitations of not being able to see the receipt when you apply for PS3 opens it for abuse.

Ok well I've called a few stores and Wireless Wave and one Rogers Plus phone store has iphone4s in stock and has the PS3 promotion still on. Everyone I've asked has said there is no further discounts allowed with the PS3 promo, so the $100 off 2 iphones for this deal isn't going to happen. That's ok, I'll get my money back later thru retentions hehehe. Thanks to everyone here who has tried to help me I'm really grateful, and to the haters and idiots, GET A LIFE!!

On the other hand I just realized that costco offers a $100 costco cash card when you activate new accounts thru them, so I'll see if I can do it thru them. And when I talked to one Rogers sales guy a while back he was willing to give me a $100 bill credit to match costco's offer, but that was only for 1 smartphone/data plan. I'll keep you all posted as I know you're all waiting with baited breath lol!

Costco gave me 2 Arcs & 2 $100 Costco cash cards and the free PS3. The Wireless Etc rep didn't even open the boxes so they can be resold BNIB. It's all good

I feel like I've made a deal with the devil re: Rogers family plan....

Ok so I needed to get my 12 yo a phone, and was looking at $35/mo at wind or mobilicity etc, so I decided to just port from Fido to Rogers (fido plan was costing me around $80/mo) and with me and the kid on a new family plan with Rogers the bill is $100 plus $12/CID/VM.

I HUP'ed and got two Sony Ericsson Arcs which I'm trying to sell to offset some of the cost of the monthly plan. Plus we got the PS3 which the kid has been begging for.

I decided to add my husband to my 'family' plan b/c he's been paying $55/mo for a dumbphone plan no data or HUP (total ripoff, but he does these things without talking to me) Now his bill will be $25+8+gov+GST, so around $37 as opposed to $55. No problems with this one. HUP is avail so plan to get iphone4 and sell.

My 18yo who I was trying to get OFF my fido plan (time to be responsible for your own phone bill 100% dude) needed to port with me to Rogers b/c he wanted a BB torch and Fido doesn't offer it. Now there's 4 phones on my family plan.

It's $85 for primary line (mine) and $25 for each other phone. We have 400 shared mins, UL e/w starting at 6pm, UL social networking and 2G data and MY10 for each of us. Husband and 18 yo got CID for $8 extra, and I got VM CID for $12. 18yo can't do a ToR till we've been with Rogers for 30 days. Promo is that data is free for two months, and my value pack is also free for a month.

I actually feel sick b/c now I'm responsible for all these phones. (until the 18yo gets his ToR) I'm not worried about anything except my daytime mins but there's no way in hell I'm adding anything else to my account (UL incoming would be great)

I can still cancel the whole shebang, as I'm only 9 days into it...should I be worried? Can I neg a better deal thru retentions in 6 months despite being a FP? Can the 18yo do a ToR or is there some 'rule' Rogers hasn't told me about?

I feel like I'm walking into a nightmare, or the dark side. No by the second billing, no cute puppies to reassure me everything will be alright...help....

"me and the kid on a new family plan with Rogers the bill is $100 "
    It's actualy $110.

"We have 400 shared mins, UL e/w starting at 6pm, UL social networking and 2G data and MY10 for each of us"
Don't forget you also have unlimited messaging.

"Promo is that data is free for two months"
It's actually not free. It's unlimited, but not free.

"$100/mo family plan with 1G shared data"
    It's $110, and 2GB data.

"I actually feel sick b/c now I'm responsible for all these phones", "...should I be worried?"
lol, You are paying less than before. You are getting more than before. You got a free PS3. You have gotten phones to sell (and are getting another one) to make even more of a profit off of this. No, you shouldn't be.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond, and your corrections are correct

I was trying my best during my 45 min call to CS to keep it all straight, and it all sounded good as I was doing it but after I hung up I just felt sick..thinking WTF have I done? The only real wild card is the 18yo with the Torch as he doesn't live with me and 30 days is a long time for him to screw up and incur some massive charges for god knows what. I asked CS rep if there could be a cap put on data so if we approached 1G we couldn't go over. that's when she told me about the $85/2G plan and I can't remember why she said it's unlimited data for 2 months. I'm thinking I should ask to go back to the $75/1G data since it's unlimited for 2 months anyways...

$85+12 is back to $100/mo phone bills for me. I wanted to be paying $100 for the 12yo and myself.... (18yo & husband will be paying their own bills) I tried to live without CID and VM but couldn't last a day. How sad is that.

I would stick with the $85 one over the $75 one for a few reasons:
-they are both UL data for 2 months
-the $85 one includes UL messaging for all lines and your little ones will no doubt be doing lots of messaging.
-the My10 vs My5 will make a huhe difference in ensuring you don't exceed your 400 daytime.

Just make sure all 4 of you set up your 10 numbers ASAP and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I don't have much to add other then if you are concerned with your 18yo's usage make sure his my10 is set up and optimized, which has already been mentioned. You could also add unlimited incoming calls for $15/month or ask Customer Care if they can give it to you for free for 1 month until after the 30 days to do a TOR. Depending on your relationship/trust with your son you could also use Call Manager to set up usage rules. Also if you have other Rogers services make sure you bundle for up to 15% off... After the first billing cycle you should be able to track your usage on rogers.com. As far as your plan it's one of the best smartphone family plans I have ever seen with Rogers. Keep in mind when Smartphones first came out most people were paying $80-$100 per phone. If you downgrade you will either give up either unlimited messaging or 5 of your my10 numbers as you have a choice of msgs or my5. The extra $10 is totally worth it as messaging packages start at $5 for 250 messages per line and the extra 5 numbers will make a huge difference in going over the 400 minutes with 4 lines. Overall you made a big but informed decision and will end up ahead in selling.

Thank you so much DH and D Mac for your help and advice, that is a great idea to ask for UL incoming for the 18yo and ask for it free for 30 days. That son was paying $47/mo with fido for his dumb phone no data, so he should expect to be paying the same with a smart phone and data. $25+15+8= $48 before tax, not too shabby. I'll add it and tell him about it so I can stop the urge to call him every day and ask how many minutes he used for voice... That is really what my anxiety is all about I suppose, that and I can't just separate him off my plan, and a month is plenty of time to rack up a huge bill.

How do I set up Call Manager? The CS rep said I couldn't do MY10 untill the next billing cycle, which is July 13. I really see that MY10 will make the difference with the 400 mins.

Now I need to go take a tylenol and get to bed early, my head is pounding lol. Cheers!
