Future employee for indirect premium retailer

I start training next week. I can't remember what the boss said about when I can sign up for the monthly employee service plan. I kinda remember him saying that I have to work there for a month.
Also, say if I was to move out of state eventually, even though I would no longer be a Verizon employee, would they honor my monthly non contract rate?

not, its only for employed reps
My motto as a VERIZON agent- Treat the customer the way you want to be treated, if you treat them like crap dont complain when they treat you like crap. If I lose a sale I dont lose sleep over it I move on. Some people never buy from my store oh well $10 transfer fee. Some people are mad at the world, doesnt affect me.

People like this sound like such idiots - "if I don't keep the job" - Really dude, go stock shelves at Wal-Mart or run the drive thru at Burger King.. this is so annoying... instead of worrying about your phone line or if you get to keep your phone line if you quit - why don't you worry about being successful at your job?

Listen chocolate starfish, when you assume you make an *** out of you and...well just you.
I applied for the job over month ago and since then I got a very very lucrative offer for a career in a different field. That job is in another state and doesn't start for another couple months.
I can't afford to sit on my *** so I need to take the Verizon job now.
    So that's my story.

PS if I sign up with Verizon on contract would that be a conflict of interest while working for the indirect?

If you're only going to be there a month, you're worried about a plan discount you may barely qualify for?

If the job is that lucrative, a cellphone bill shouldn't be an issue for you.

That's very true but having money now and having money in the future are 2 different things. My mentality is still to pinch pennies as much as i could and I'm frugal by nature, with exceptions. I'm willing to shell out $600+ for the phone as long as I don't have to pay over $120 a month.
And the type of money I'd be making won't show up for awhile after the work is done. It's the curse of being freelance in that business.

Is this how you guys treat your customers? They ask you questions and you turn around and berate them?

Customer VS an idiot person on here are two different things - The wireless industry, for those who end up being successful (which many on here are) have a wolfpack mentality... until you prove your worth - we won't trust, like, or respect your unproven ability. And when you come in just wanting to worry about YOURSELF (cell phone plan of all things)- its annoying, really annoying. Do us all a favor - delete HOFO and never come on here again Mr. Offer in another state..

See that is what I don't get...you're willing to pay 600 for a phone but not 120 a month on the plan but then you claim frugality...even if you got a phone contracted with unlimited everything, it's taking you three months till you hit a break-even point vs a $600 phone.

As far as the treating and berating customers, it's tough when you have people constantly trying to milk the system. When I first read your post, it seems like "hey, this company's wasting their time and money on me, I'm getting a discount then trying to keep said EMPLOYEE discount after I take a better job." See how some people may look at that when we have done this for awhile?

Yes I understand. None of my situation is set in stone so I'm just trying to figure things out. I'm not poor but I do have a lot of monthly expenses right now and my mentality towards that is to keep it low. A large one time fee is ok with me because I know what I have, but God forbid something happens down the road and I'm stuck paying for a monthly charge beyond my means...which is why I'm still with metro.
I appreciate your attitude towards this as opposed to the user whose name is a common euphemism for an anus.
