Good thing that we've done the hardware switch online (CDMA -> HSPA) before this change took place.

"Is only" ... Wonderful. Bell allows us to downgrade free.

So to recap. They took away this feature (which existed when we signed up) under the guise of working on the website. Gave a few free phone switches to complainers. Then decided to eliminate it completely, never notifying their customers. Seems a substantial change to terms and conditions allowing one to cancel their contract.

I can't believe the BS! And the saga continues... It's always a constant fight to get any service from this half *** company!!! Can anyone tell me what kind of 'fraud' can be possibly made when registering a phone? Phones that are blacklisted can't be registered, so what's the deal?!

The new phone I got has poor reception and awful bluetooth and I need it off and my service restored to my old phone before my business calls start pouring in at 9AM this morning!

They better do it, do it fast, and do it free!

    I can't believe this... I just can't...

Slow you roll there. Pretty sure this wasn't stated anywhere in your ToS. Unless I'm wrong. Care to share your ToS where if it says they can't do this?

OK, so I got my old phone reactivated. According to Bell, it only costs money if you need to program the phone.

Come on! $35 to enter the MSL and my phone number in the MSID? It takes no more than 1 minute for me to do it by myself!!!

Bell: if YOU remove an option that allowed users to activate their phones themselves for free, you should not use the pretext of 'fraud prevention' to charge users to do it for them!

You are probably right, but using the pretext of 'fraud prevention' to charge people for something they could otherwise easily do themselves in just a couple of minutes is the very definition of GOUGING.
