Increase SMS limit on GD570. Also a question.

Anyone want to help me mod my phone? Its a LGdlite/GD570.

A little while ago, I found a file that was made when the phone accessed the microSD,to log the last song played. If anyone would like to see them, I'll put them
up. I want to mod the theme,(add colors&designs) and have the text messages saved to the microSD. (microSD is 16gb) I can work with Windows or Ubuntu. The phone can view .txt files.
Here's what the phone left on the mircoSD fs:/card0/audio/music/01 - meds (feat.vv of the kills).mp3

I came up with an idea.
Make a script to change the default save location of the text messages,to the microSD.
But I have no idea how to script....

To change the theme,I think I'll need to change what happens when you connect to a computer. Maybe have something to access the phone's main files, I imagine that adding colors would be simple enough.

So is anyone good at scripting,or know anything that might of help?

    other info.

The current phone's software is kinda, useless.
I mean, it can hold 1000 contacts. But only 500 texts. You'd think they'd allow texts to be saved to a microSD but no, its all being saved to the phone. They released a gray model of the phone...with an updated U.I. And they have the "Software Update" which only allows you to check for an update every 24hours. But since the release of the gray model, there has not been a update. So I've decided to take matters into my own hands...I am not too concerned about it becoming bricked.

I have heard of BimPim, and tried it, but it can't detect the phone. Anyone have the same problem?

And if this fails. PLAN B.
    Japanese Phone

I don't know if it'll work on T-Mobile in the first place.
    So here are my choices:

(in English) my first choice the SH-01C
docomo PRIME series SH-01C | Products | NTT DOCOMO

    Second Choice
    (in Japanese, try to translate)
    docomo PRIME series SH-10C | »•i | NTTƒhƒRƒ‚

I'd like to know if the two choices I made will work on T-Mobile.

If anyone has had experience with these phone or something similar could you tell me about them? More specifically, are there any really good features, downsides, what can you save to the microSD? I already know you can change the UI in English so I'm not to worried about that.

Advice and Suggestions would be nice
    Thank You for Reading.

I took a look at the files made on the microSD by the phone and came across LGSYS which contained a number of files. Most of it was unreadable but there was some readable lines. I stumbled across this site for hacking the razr. For that phone they suggested using this line mms file size limit=350 I copied that line into every file inside that folder and made one file with just that line in it and nothing else. I reinserted the microSD back inside the phone, turned it on and it just kept looping the LG logo and never got to standby mode. So I took out the microSD and it functioned fine. If I inserted it while the phone was in standby, it would freeze, sometimes the screen would go black and wouldn't come back on. I deleted the changes I made to the files but I still ran into the same problem. So I had to delete the whole folder to fix it.

However, this made me aware to one thing: the phone reads from the microSD before booting.

Perhaps certain changes to the files could help with increasing the number of text message that can be saved, and change their default save location to the microSD instead.

    Question

    any luck with mods/hacks?
I have an unlocked T-mobile phone, running on a different carrier.
I want the apps to access internet. But fail to do so.
I entered engineering mode by 3845#*570# and added the access points.
The default web browser can now connect to net. But apps don't. (example opera mini, whatsapp etc)
Any idea how to get this to work?

    A little technical detail:
    engg mode> modem settings>internet profile> T-mobile GPRS...
i need to edit it so that i can enter the proxy details of my service provider.
This would enable the apps to access the internet of my carrier.
I tried setting up a new profile with the same name hoping it would overwrite it. But sadly it does not allow overwrite
    thanks!
