Where's the dialtone?
Not sure if this was asked before.
I would like ...
- Smartphone (such as iPhone, HTC, Droid, Windows...)
- Free or cheap data so I can check my fb (not email)
- I am willing to buy a phone and unlock it
- Do I need a wifi phone?
Can someone explain to me in details how I can get all this?
I don't have a job at the moment...so I cant pay $30+ for the plan..

Your certainly not talking about getting a Verizon phone then. Check out the prepaid carrier(s) in your area and see how it works for you. Loads cheaper not quite as nice of phones but plenty functional. If your on a budget don't go looking with a market dominator like Verizon.

Also,
if I want for example SamsungGalaxy. It's 300$ @ Tmobile. If I buy Galaxy separatedly along with another TMobile prepaid phone, unlock it, then put the sim into Galaxy, will it work?
Someone please tell me how to use it on wifi? Does that mean I can only use it in free wifi spots?

My antenna is smaller than yours
1. s/he means don't activate it on a wireless carrier, just use it like an expensive ipod touch.
2. Do you currently have service with VZW? If you do, getting a contract with tmob wouldn't be the smartest option just to get a cheaper phone price.
3. In answer to your last question, please reread answer 1.

iPod touch might be for you. Or as mentioned before, buy phone outright without subsidy and activate with an MVNO so you're not forced into the data plan.

Oolong, get tmobile. VZW isn't for you in this case. On tmobile, you can buy a phone for full retail or on Ebay or Something and you don't need a data plan. Data plan is only required when you buy a phone at the discount price with the new contract.
VZW makes all smartphones have a data plan. It isn't for you.

http://www.dailysteals.com has the Palm Pixi Plus on sale again, but only until midnight tonight. It's something like $39. It has WiFi and is an excellent phone for Page Plus. pagepluscellular.com. The pixi isn't a powerful phone, but the qwerty keypad really isn't that hard to get used to plus it has a touch screen. If you get the Verizon version, no flash is required, talk, text, data works right out of the box. After calling PPC to activate the phone, click "emergency call" clear 911 and dail *228 send, select option 1. Now repeat the process and this time dial the number of a working phone to make a test call, if you have a landline or another cell phone that would be great. Now go through the steps of the setup, only takes a few minutes and it's ready to go. Now just turn off data and turn on wifi when available. $29.95 gets you 1,200 minutes, 2,000 text and 100MB of data. If you can get by with it, you're now getting cell phone service $10 cheaper than if you had a Verizon basic plan and you get text and some data on top of it. Now you can check the Palm store for facebook apps and you're all set. Page Plus uses Verizon's towers, so it's like having a Verizon phone without having to deal with Verizon. The big thing with Page Plus, you pay much less and no contract, but if you need lots of data, then you just have to pay Verizon for the data plan.

I want to get a smartphone (prices $60-100) used, on CraigsList.
Get it unlocked, then use it with Virgin Mobile $25/month unlimited text, data, email +300 min plan.
What phones when unlocked are compatible with Virgin Mobile? Thanks.

Virgin Mobile is a Sprint MVNO. CDMA carriers do not lock their phones as such (the SPC is 000000) but still probably not just any CDMA phone will work. Check in Virgin Mobile forum to find out what will.
