I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

anyone else notice on that one screen when they said it'll release in fall "customizable UI" was one of the things there... wonder what that is referring to.
I like how they took mobile notifier and built it in (and they gave the developer of that app a job at apple)
Love the camera using the volume button and photo editing in that app.
I love the delta updates so not a full wipe on each firmware (at least that's what the image showed.) so that should make jailbreaking last longer I'd think/hope.
and the iphone messaging like BBM is great. So many less txt's
the reminders and the full page safari are nice too.
All in all it's a very good upgrade.
Not loving the twitter integration though since I don't care for twitter and don't want to see it everywhere I click.

Yup, agree 100%! I don't want my UI cluttered with Facebook and Twitter nonsense, this should be optional.
I do like the new notification system, that looks really slick. Hourly weather forecasts, real-time stock quotes, alternate routes in maps, camera grid, wireless sync, dictionary, that's some very nice stuff. Can't wait!
Yep I am excited about this too.
It's nice when they integrate things into the OS I would have used a jb app for anyhow.
It's looking like lockinfo is a lot less necessary if at all.
Dictionary is a nice touch too.
I hope bitesms figures out a nice way to integrate the mobile messaging into itself.
Several of the points are playing off android's success. The notifications, service integration (twitter, dropbox, etc), and delta updates are all areas where android was easily better.
Wow crapple sucks so hard that they had to copy Androids superior notification bar to stay REVOLUTIONARY... What a bunch of dirt bags hope Apple gets sued and gets serve by Google and other manufacturers using Android. In the end Job's couldn't face the music haha next were going to see the iphone 5 with a bigger screen... but wait didn't Jobs say no one wants BIG *** PHONE? What looser, apple and iOS is a joke.

What now apple fanboys what a bunch of tards!
That's nice, but how do you really feel about iOS 5 and the iPhone?
In any case, I doubt they'll get sued since they hired the guy who wrote the notification hack and integrated it into iOS. It's fair to assume that whoever wrote it owns the copyright to the code and is free to develop/market/sell it as he sees fit. Not sure what all the animosity is about, but if you don't like iOS just don't use it, it's not like it's the only option out there.

Feel better you got that off your chest?
They all copy each other somehow. Not a big deal so long as it delivers in the end.
I wish Android could copy the smoothness of iOS.
While it may be reminiscent of Androids pull down notifications, once again, Apple makes it look and function at a more polished level.
I agree. I think a lot of Android is more functional and less aesthetically pleasing, Apple adds features much more slowly but does them very well when they are added.
