Quite simply I don't even want twitter integration visible. I do realize that many people use twitter, but I have no use for it. So I hope there's a way to edit out twitter's presence. So I'd be happy with it just being invisible until/if I decided to reactivate it. Other than their possibly misguided approach to shoving twitter's presence into everybody's throat, I like what I have read so far.

It will probably work like Android. There will be many types of accounts you can publish to (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) but the context menu only shows accounts that are activated.
Seems like it is cool to have these in your sig?

So true. That's part of the allure of iOS: it may not have the most features, but it sure does make things pretty.

Let me get this straight: you don't have this provider, you don't like this provider, yet you're always in this provider's forum?

the feature list was ok but I'm hoping that they are holding back the great stuff for when they official announce the next phone.

Some of those small print features may have been overlooked so far, but there's some really cool new stuff in there:
    • Personal dictionary
    • Typing shortcuts
    • Alternate routes in Maps
    • Sync Exchange Tasks (finally!)
    • Hourly weather forecasts
    • Weather for your current location (how cool!)
    • Real-time stock quotes (no more pesky 20 min delays)
    • iTunes Tone Store
    • Set tones for voicemail, mail and calendar alerts

    PRL Interpretations
    XFF's AlphaTag software
    Cellular and PCS License Maps

Much needed updates, but I was really hoping for a new look for the home screen. It still looks pretty much the same as '07. I knew widgets wasn't going to happen, but was still holding out hope that maybe they would include them.

Hopefully there is an option to opt out of OTA updates.

I'm really excited about this update. Especially iCloud! Anybody have any idea when in fall this will be released?

Looks like nearly every reason I jailbreak is going to be in the stock UI now. I don't like that it looks like they ripped off LockInfo tho. It looks nearly identical to Stimpy's app.

I was rather shocked at the lackluster features, but maybe my bar was set too high. The best ones were notifications, & the ability to open a notification from the lock screen. Twitter int. Might be nice. Imo.

My biggest concern right now is that Verizon's iPhone will be months behind the GSM model once the new OS is released. I don't understand why after all this time we're still not on version 4.3.

I can't believe I'm saying this but perhaps a switch back to ATT is in order.

That's because they hired him to integrated his app into the OS.

I was hoping for widgets, revamped email that included some desktop like features, maps with turn by turn navigation. I like that they improved the notification system, but from the demo, it didn't seem like they went far enough.
